minotticucine presents the cast bronze table signed by Claudio Silvestrin,

and the new scala composition at MDW22

since 1948, minotticucine has continued its material research and consolidates alberto minotti’s philosophy of visual silence, presenting new installations designed for the space of its Milan showroom during the 2022 Milan Design Week.

Metal has always been an interest of minotticucine; as an allegory to the history of human evolution, it has followed the stone age with the metal age.

An evolution that for the brand has resulted in innovation in the ways of experiencing each project, as well as continuous research and experimentation with materials.

In minotticucine’s philosophy, design is the soul of the project, while the material is its character.  By changing the material used, the design remains intact, it is the character that is transformed.

Natural stone has always remained at the heart of minotticucine, as a design signature.  The search for new materials, however, represents a continuous evolution towards ideas and concepts capable of opening new paths.

The "terra" kitchen, originally conceived in porphyry, evolves to a pure cast bronze kitchen,  keeping the soul of the design but changing the character, capable of going beyond the fashions of the moment.

“Over the past few years we have presented metal by associating it with two iconic minotticucine models.  The first “terra”, in the cast bronze version, while last year the “maya” model in the 24K gold version.  Two models born in the early 2000s to demonstrate that, even twenty years later, design has not suffered the signs of time” - explains Monica Venturini, commercial director of minotticucine.

Cast bronze table by Claudio Silvestrin.

After the great success of "terra", designed by architect Claudio Silvestrini, minotticucine has decided to present a new proposal in line with the philosophy of the terra kitchen: a bronze table.

4.8 metres long, made entirely of cast bronze, a historically valuable material that has been widely used throughout the history of art, which gives the shape a statuesque presence, deriving from the artisan tradition of bronze working.

The table can be combined with the bronze terra kitchen from which it draws inspiration, obtaining a holistic effect, or combined with different materials from the brand.

Awkward corners – re-imagined as a seamless wall of smoked eucalyptus

Behind the smoked eucalyptus wood doors, an “Inca” model kitchen silently hides, made in the same wood finish as the columns and in Naica natural quartz stone.

The kitchen columns are not limited to the compositional concept, they have a functional value: the doors fold up and disappear revealing a fully functional kitchen including all the functional elements. The hidden kitchen is complete with dishwasher, sink, storage baskets and hob, so as to make it functional for daily activities, but invisible in situations that require visual silence, order and elegance.

maya scala

minotticucine continues its path of exclusivity linked to its design philosophy, an experimentation that is not structured solely in the definition of the product and materials but evolves into a concept that provides for various the compositional solutions.

The shapes remain minimal, and the space and how it is used has been experimented with. This allows minotticucine to form projects that are truly unique and recognisable, imprinted in the memory of the observer.

In this new composition designed for Milan, the tall cabinets of the "maya" model are presented in a staircase-type arrangement, diagonally across a corner.  The light burnished metal finish on the tall cabinets reflects light in varying degrees at different times of the day.

The composition is not only the hallmark of the project, but it guarantees an interesting functionality - with a simple push, the central section opens and the two doors slide back completely, disappearing into the side elements.  An accessible, fully customisable space opens up, which can be used to suit any client’s needs such as forming as a practical service kitchen, wine cellar, laundry room, pantry, or be transformed into a passage to another room in the house and much more.

Stone Art:

A wall of luxurious Blue explosion natural stone, conceals an area suitable for wine lovers, complete with a customizable wine rack which can also be used as a wine tasting area. These tall stone doors, available in various heights, furthers our philosophy of visual silence and timelessness by using a natural material but in a practical and adaptable way.

These set-ups designed ad hoc for the Milanese showroom of the Asso Group showcase the philosophy of visual silence from which the brand's design comes to life, highlighting the new research into materials and the constant relationship with space, an integral part of the minotticucine projects.
